Payouts & Disputes
Payout Schedule
Payout timing depends on your payment provider settings and event configuration. Typically, funds are transferred within 2-7 business days after the event concludes. Express payout options may be available for verified organizers.
Chargebacks & Disputes
Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled through the payment processor (Stripe/Paystack). Organizers are responsible for providing documentation to resolve disputes. 254Connect provides support and guidance throughout the process.
Frequently asked questions
Attendees see the total ticket price including any fees you choose to pass on. You can configure whether buyers pay fees on top of your ticket price, or whether you absorb fees from your ticket price. This setting is available when creating your event.
Refund policies are set by each organizer when creating an event. When a refund is processed, the ticket price is returned to the attendee. Platform fees are refunded for full ticket refunds. Payment processing fees may be non-refundable depending on the payment provider policies.
Chargebacks are handled by our payment processors (Stripe/Paystack). When a dispute is filed, the organizer is notified and may need to provide evidence that the ticket was valid and the event took place. Disputed amounts are held until resolution. 254Connect provides guidance but organizers are ultimately responsible for chargeback outcomes.
Payouts are typically processed within 2-7 business days after your event ends. The exact timing depends on your payment provider settings, verification status, and any holds that may apply to new organizers. You can track payout status in your organizer dashboard.

Ticket sales may be subject to local taxes depending on your location and event type. 254Connect does not calculate, collect, or remit taxes on behalf of organizers. You are responsible for understanding and complying with tax obligations in your jurisdiction. We recommend consulting a tax professional.
Yes. Standard pricing is available to all organizers immediately. Impact pricing requires application and approval. You can apply for Impact pricing at any time, and if approved, the reduced rates apply to future events. Existing ticket sales are not retroactively adjusted.
Currently, 254Connect supports USD and KES (Kenyan Shillings). Multi-currency support allows you to set ticket prices in either currency. Payment processing fees may vary slightly by currency.
